Every Google link, in the right account.

Signed in to Google more than once? Swivly ends the wrong-inbox, wrong-avatar, “You need access” routine. Gmail asks which account once. Docs open where you have access. Links from an email open in that inbox’s account.

What it does

The right account, decided before the page loads.

Type gmail.com, turn the dial

Your accounts sit on a dial in Google's order. Arrow keys turn it, 1 to 9 jump straight to an account, Enter opens. The pick then carries to Drive, Calendar, Meet and the rest for 15 minutes.

Docs open where you have access

Click a Doc, Sheet, Slides, Form or Drive link and Swivly checks every signed-in account, live. If only one can open it, it opens there and tells you why.

Access check in progress: two accounts confirmed, three still checking

Clicked in Gmail? That inbox's account.

A Doc, Meet or Calendar link in an email opens in the account that received the email, without asking, as long as that account can open it.

Ask once per organisation

Two of your accounts in the company that owns a file? Swivly asks once and remembers, for every file that company owns. Change it any time in Settings.

How it decides

Seven rules, checked in order.

For file links, Swivly first checks which of your signed-in accounts can open the file. Then:

  1. You clicked it in Gmailand that inbox's account can open it: that account.
  2. Only one account has accessThat one. No question asked.
  3. The link names an accountDrive often adds /u/N/ to links. If that account has access, it wins.
  4. One of your accounts is in the owner's organisationWork files open in your work account.
  5. Several areYour saved choice for that organisation, or it asks once and saves the answer.
  6. Still a tieThe account you picked in the last 15 minutes, otherwise it asks.
  7. Nobody has accessIt opens in the Gmail account the link came from, or asks which account should request access.
